  • Capital Prep (CT) Holds Off St. Paul - For most of the fourth quarter, Claire Consonni couldn't miss. Consonni scored 13 of her 21 points in the quarter, but her shot at the buzzer missed the mark as St. Paul fell short against Capital Prep-Hartford 47-44 in a Class S girls basketball quarterfinal Thursday at Lewis Mills-Burlington. No. 3 seed Capital Prep (23-2) advanced to a semifinal on Monday against No. 2 Old Lyme, which defeated Somers, 47-28.
