East Hartford beats Hartford Public in CCC - Jakarri McCalop and his East Hartford teammates were unfazed at facing Hartford Public's touted center Daryl McCoy and the rest of the Owls Tuesday night. McCalop scored 21 points to lead the Hornets to a 66-60 CCC semifinal victory at Bristol Central. "Hartford is always a strong, powerful team every year," McCalop said. Bloomfield beats Hartford Public (CT) - Bloomfield weathered a 15-foot jumper and a desperation three-point try in the final seconds to outlast Hartford Public 55-53 Tuesday night at the Field House. "I was praying they'd miss," Bloomfield coach Gary Barcher said. Good fortune was a Warhawks' teammate, as the shot from Hartford's Alvin Williams from the right corner with 2.8 seconds left and Frederick Wright's 30-footer at the horn both bounced off the rim.
