  • Rhode Island High School Highlights, Friday Feb. 20th - BOYS BASKETBALL •Jay Jeannotte scored Narragansett’s last six points, including a jumper off the glass with five seconds remaining, to help the Mariners come back from a four-point deficit and defeat Westerly, 68-67, in a Division II-South boys basketball game. Jeannotte finished with a team-high 23 points for the Mariners, who improved to 16-1. Andy Bookataub scored a game-high 29 points for the Bulldogs, who connected on 7-of-10 3-pointers in the first half and led, 38-30, at halftime. - Read full article from Providence Journal
  • Westerly (RI) girls turn up heat on Prout - It was a tale of two halves for the Westerly girls basketball team as the Bulldogs managed to comeback and defeat first-place Prout, 43-38, despite scoring only five first-half points. Westerly trailed, 22-5, at the half but outscored Prout, 38-16, in the second half. Westerly is right on Prout’s heels for first place in Division II-South as the Bulldogs improve to 9-3 while Prout falls to 10-3. Westerly, which shot 21-for-26 from the foul line, got 25 points from Liz Cruso, who was 11-for-12 at the line.
