  • Central Falls (RI) girls beat Hope to claim regular-season title - As fate would have it, Central Falls and Hope –– the top two teams in Division III girls basketball –– wrapped up their regular season in a head-to-head game for first place. Tied at 45 apiece with less than a minute left, CF’s Valerie Biascochea was fouled on a 3-point attempt and made two of three from the line to give the Warriors a 47-45 victory and the title.
