- The CIAC's Weekend At Mohegan Sun - When the Coventry girls basketball team found out the state finals would be at Mohegan Sun Arena, the players were beside themselves. "They could be playing on the same floor that Lisa Leslie and Sue Bird play on," Coventry athletic director Nancy Levinson said. "To them, that was beyond belief." Berlin girls coach Sheila King made up T-shirts with suns on them to motivate her players. The Coventry girls made signs and fliers that read "Run to the Sun" and "Going to the Sun" and posted them around school Friday.
