Naofall Folahan (6’10 C Wilbraham and Monson Academy) is taking an official visit this weekend to Wagner College. Folahan also visited Tulane University last weekend. It appears that Folahan will make his decision sometime within the next week.
Folahan has told NE Hoop News that he enjoyed his visit to Tulane and liked what the school has to offer in terms of competition in conference and academics. However, after taking an unofficial visit to Wagner earlier this week Folahan decided he would take a closer look and take an official visit to the school. He told us that his relationship with the staff at Wagner is very good and he thinks he could make an impact right away. New Wagner Head Coach Danny Hurley has been making a hard push for the big man’s services since taking the job at Wagner. Coach Hurley and Assistant Coach Bashir Mason attended a few workouts at Wilbraham and Monson Academy and immediately after made a scholarship offer.
During this past season he averaged 8ppg and 7rpg for the Wilbraham and Monson Titans. The raw African has a tremendous upside and has incredible athleticism for a player of his size. He has a great knack for blocking shots and runs the floor very well. Folahan’s coach at the academy, Chris Sparks, told us, "Naofall enjoyed his visit to Tulane and really liked the atmosphere of the program and the university as a whole but he's really excited for his visit to Wagner and learning more about the college. He's made a good connection with Coach Hurley and Coach Mason so after this weekend he'll sitdown and look at both schools and decide where he thinks he'll fit best."
Folahan is set to make his decision sometime soon after returning from his visit to Wagner. NE Hoop News will be keeping an eye on the situation and we’ll have news of Folahan’s commitment once it becomes public.
