Player Updates from Hoop Mountain Super Week

The second session of Hoop Mountain Super Week has come to a close, with some of New England's top talent taking the Roger Williams University campus in Bristol, R.I.

Matt Mobley (Worcester Academy) was one of the top players at Super Week I, showing off his great athleticism and penetration, which has jump started his college interest. Heading into the summer, Mobley only had Towson looking at him, now the former St. Peter Marian star lists Holy Cross, Bucknell, LIU-Brooklyn, and Loyola Marymount as teams interested in him.

Colin Richey (Choate Rosemary), like AAU teammate Mobley, is heading into his first year of prep. Also like his friend Mobley, Richey has received interest from Towson, along with Yale and New Hampshire. The 6-foot point guard displayed great poise and feel for the game.

Terance Mann (Tilton) may have had the most impressive Saturday, getting to the rim at will, including a monster slam over a defender. Mann did a good job of directing his team on the floor. Mann lists Virginia and IUPUI as the only teams that are looking at him, as his mother holds the rest of his letters.

Johnny Joseph (Tilton) will join Mann in the new Tilton lineup. At only 5-foot-6, Joseph did a good job of getting to the lane and setting up teammates. Following a scrimmage on Saturday, Joseph said Boston University, Oregon State, and George Mason were all looking at him.

Henry Bolton (St. Andrew's) and teammate Bonzie Colson (St. Andrew's) had a nice weekend playing together, as Bolton did a good job offensive and Colson was a beast inside and on the boards. Bolton listed Rhode Island, Providence, UConn, Colgate and Lehigh as interested teams, while Colson has heard from BU, Vermont Virginia Tech, Troy, and Norte Dame.

Jacquil Taylor (Beaver Country Day) is known as a defensive presence, but during the Super Week started to show glimpses of an offensive game. His coach for the week was Eric McKoy, an assistant at Brandeis. McKoy stated the Taylor was working on post moves and was starting to improve on a hook shot in the lane. Taylor still lists Harvard, UMass, Boston College, BU, and Pittsburgh as teams he has heard from.
