Jeff Spellman makes up half of one of the rising New England Playaz 16u backcourt, along with seventh-grader Tremont Waters. Spellman is a versatile guard, who can play both positions. Although he is transitioning to a point guard, the 6-foot-1 Spellman still has the ability to light it up, especially from behind the arc. Moving from the two to the one shouldn't be difficult for the Beaver Country Day guard. He's a very good ball handler, matched with a high I.Q. and an unselfish passer. Spellman has great athleticism for his 6-1 frame, but he needs to get stronger in order to be able to attack the rim more. Known as a shooter, but wants to be able to attack the basket more. Gaining more and more college interest with offers from Vermont and Brown.
