Wilbraham & Monson's Maodo Lo commits to Columbia

On Monday night, it was confirmed that Wilbraham & Monson (Mass.) guard Maodo Lo had committed to Columbia University. The 6-foot-2 point guard led his WMA Titans to the NEPSAC Class AA semi-final, before falling to the Tilton School.

The German-born Lo brings a well balanced game to the Ivy League. He has good handles, including a nice crossover dribble. Lo can also finish at the rim with both hands. While playing alongside Jaylen Brantley this season, Lo saw a lot of time off the ball. Defensively, Lo has great anticipation and can rack up steals.

Lo becomes the fifth Titan from the class of 2012 to announce his future plans. Mike Boornazian will attend Bates next season, while Mark Overdevest will also play Division III ball at WPI. Alex Ramon will play at Colgate, while Mike Mendes intends on walking on at Boston College. Robinson Vilmont is WMA player who has yet to commit. Although he has looks from all three divisions.
