Recruiting Update: New England Playaz

Aaron Calixte

Aaron Calixte of Stoughton High School is coming off a successful junior campaign in which he led his team to the Massachusetts Division II Eastern Mass. title game, while averaging 19 points and six assists a game. The 5-foot-11 guard was also a member of the ESPNBoston.com Super Team.

While playing in the summer with the New England Playaz 17u, Calixte has recently received interest from Siena as well as Temple. The Playaz confirmed this through its official Twitter account.

Calixte may wait an extra year to attend college, as he is stated he may go prep.

 

 

On the 16u team, Beaver Country Day sophomore Jeff Spellman is also seeing his recruitment increasing. Spellman had a great performance in Las Vegas last month and was offered by Vermont. As the Catmounts have been strongly interested in the 6-foot-1 Spellman, other New England D1 programs such as Boston College and Holy Cross have begun to show interest as well. Lehigh and Davidson are two other programs looking at Spellman.

 

 

Cane Broome (East Hartford) like Calixte has heard from Siena and Adrian Oliveira (Brimmer and May) heard from Fairfield.

Forwards Collin McManus (Bedford High) and Ian Sistare (Trinity High) will both prep at Northfield Mount Hermon.
