Isaac Freeman commits to UMass

Late last week, UMass head coach Derek Kellogg received good news when Western Kentucky guard Derrick Gordon decided to transfer to Amherst next season.
On Monday, Kellogg got more good news when St. Thomas More 7-foot-2 center Isaac Freeman gave a verbal commitment to play for the Minutemen, according to Scout.com's Evan Daniels. Daniels learned of Freeman's decision through the center's father, Kevin.
Freeman also had an offer from Drexel.
The St. Thomas More post grad cited that team chemistry was the selling point in his commitment. Freeman also liked the fast-paced style UMass plays, which should benefit Freeman, who runs the floor well for his size.
