Windsor, Conn. -- Friday night Windsor earned its biggest win of the season, defeating Northwest Catholic 78-71 to improve to 18-1 on the season.

With starting guard Garey Allen sidelined, the backcourt of Jerry Buchanon (19 points) and Andrew Hurd (18 points) led the Warriors over the visiting Indians.

It's no wonder why both seniors are gaining interest from Division III programs.

Andrew Hurd had a very impressive second half, scoring 14 points and coming up with big 3-pointers in the third quarter and game sealing steals and layups in the wanning seconds.

Hurd is a solid point guard. He has a good court vision, handles the ball very well and has a nice stroke from behind the arc. He is getting looks from Western Connecticut, Emerson, WPI, SUNY New Paltz and Springfield College.

He said after the win he isn't leaning towards any school yet, but believes he will need to get stronger and faster at the next level.

Buchanon, like his teammate, is also keeping his options open. He has looks from Western Connecticut and Western New England University.

Buchanon is a gifted scorer, who gets into the lane nicely. He can also knock down the 3-point shot.
