Kolbe Cathedral brushes Stratford aside

It doesn't take a basketball X's and O's expert to see how hard the Kolbe Cathderal boys team works on defense.

You can see it on their faces ... and their jerseys.

By the end of the first quarter Wednesday night, the Cougars were drenched with perspiration -- and not because of the humid conditions inside the Shehan Center on an unseasonably warm February night.

Kolbe's suffocating defense held Stratford to 6-for-29 shooting in the first half en route to a 65-49 win, the Cougars' 15th straight to start the season.
