Central tops Andover in MVC clash

Doug Gemmell scored 15 of his game-high 22 points in the second half as Central Catholic pulled away from host Andover with a 61-51 victory in last night’s Merrimack Valley Conference boys basketball battle of unbeatens at Dunn Gymnasium.

Gemmell showed off his range in the second half with four of his five successful makes from downtown, and got the OK from his coach to shoot whenever he got a good look.
